Burial at Sea

Honor a loved one with a Santa Cruz burial at sea

Chardonnay Sailing Charters provides a peaceful, dignified, and caring memorial service at sea from Santa Cruz. Floral offerings will be laid at the site of the scattering. A commemorative card with the latitude and longitude of the loved one’s final resting place will be provided. Services are one and a half hours in length and include a sail along the coast. Our vessel accommodates up to 49 guests.

We welcome friends and family to bring any additional flowers, food, or beverages on board. Food packages can be provided at an additional cost if desired. The Chardonnay is equipped with iPod connections.

Food and beverages can be provided by the Chardonnay for an additional cost. The pricing is $500 for 25 or fewer passengers, $800 for 26-49 passengers. You may choose from the following:

• Wine and Hors d’oeuvres Package: Assorted cheese platters with baguettes, fresh vegetables with dip, seasonal fruit platters, red wine, chilled chardonnay wine, cold beer on tap, and soft drinks.
• Assorted Pizza and Beverages Package: Assorted pizza, red wine, chilled chardonnay wine, cold beer on tap, and soft drinks.
• Sandwich Package: Assortment of hummus/chicken caesar/ roast beef pinwheel
  sandwiches, chips, fresh vegetables with dip, assorted cookie tray, red wine, chilled chardonnay wine, cold beer on tap, and soft drinks.
• Brunch Package: Fresh pastries, seasonal fruit platters, champagne, orange juice, and coffee.
